“Chicago’s Ryan Burns writes the kind of indie folk/Americana music that would easily appeal to fans of groups like Wilco”
-The Indie Review
“Blending indie folk and Americana with a warm alt-country twang, Let It Out Again captures that familiar feeling of wanting nothing more than to step outside and breathe after the world has grown too small.”
-The Americana Heartbeat
Songwriter Ryan Burns draws inspiration from the rich traditions of folk music around the Midwest and blends them with a wide array of influences pulled from poetry, fine art, and architecture. What transpires is a vibrant set of songs that take audiences on a journey, reminiscent of Glen Hansard, Jeff Tweedy, and Lord Huron.
In addition to his songs, Ryan is also a prolific producer, banjo player, and music teacher around Chicago.
